Hi, I'm Katie! I'm a board-certified Physician Assistant since 2010. My passion lies in aesthetic medicine - both helping my clients achieve natural beauty and training aspiring and current aesthetic medical providers.
All About Me
Let's take it back for a minute. I was born in Southern California and resided in Malibu until I was 12 years old. My family moved Pittsburgh, PA where I finished junior high and high school. I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Pennsylvania State University (WE ARE!) in Life Science with a minor in Psychology in 2006. After graduation, I worked at Children's Hospitals of Pittsburgh where I was exposed to different types of medicine.
In 2010, I graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine with my Master's of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. I quickly moved to San Diego (where the weather was warm) and worked at El Centro Regional Medical Center and then the prestigious Palomar Medical Center in the Emergency Department until 2015.
After five years of practicing Emergency Medicine, I knew I was ready for a change. I switched specialties to Aesthetic & Facial Plastic Surgery with a plastic surgeon in the San Diego area. This is where I developed a strong foundation of aesthetic technique and passion for skincare.
In 2018, I joined Dr. Holden at Holden Timeless Beauty as her Aesthetic Physician Assistant.
At the end of 2018, I partnered with Dr. Holden again in a venture and founded True to You Medical Aesthetics, an injectable-based med spa with a few locations throughout Southern California.
Dr. Holden and I founded HTB Aesthetic Academy in 2019 to pursue our passion for educating other inspired medical providers in the field of Aesthetics.
In 2019, I was invited to the elite Master Course by Allergan Medical Institute.
In September of 2020, I again joined the HTB Aesthetics team as Vice President of Clinical Operations and Advanced Injector. I specialize in neuromodulators, dermal fillers, Sculptra, Kybella, medical grade chemical peels, mirconeedling/radiofrequency and medical grade skin care consultations. As VP of Clinical Ops, I oversee the entire training platform for all providers at our locations throughout the region.
I was honored to take the stage at the 2021 Aesthetic Show in Las Vegas, NV where I spoke about Mastering Mindset for the Aesthetic Provider.
In 2022, I was honored and selected to be a GAIN Faculty Member and Trainer for Galderma Aesthetics. Now I have the pleasure of training on Dysport, the Restylane Family of Fillers and Sculptra. I am humbled to join an elite group of aesthetic providers who train peers in natural and safe results.
In my free time, I am a mom to two sweet girls, wife to my husband, Tyler, an avid runner and yogi and a tropical destination enthusiast.
